how do I know if I need to hire a pm?

Most clients do not have a designated in-house PM who can assume the workload that’s involved in running a project along with their day-in-day-out job. The earlier you can hire a PM, the better! You’ll experience consistency and positive workflow if you engage a PM during any site visits and lease negotiations. Before employees are bogged down by the extra work and lack of single-source communication and management, you should hire a PM!

Can I Hire ExLT At Any Point During a Project?

Of course! We can adapt to any circumstance and are equipped to onboard quickly to course-correct your project at any given moment.

How Do you know what to charge?

ExLT first considers the size, scope and schedule of a project. We find that some projects are better managed on an hourly basis, where others are better managed on a price per square foot basis. Either way, we are flexible and can work with you.

Do you Travel?

Yes. ExLT is based in Chicago, but we cover projects around the globe. There are clients who encourage travel for punch walks and there are clients who prefer a leaner approach and accept photos from local teams in lieu of travel.

Why is ExLT Closed on Fridays?

The ExLT team answers emails and is able to join any urgent calls on Friday. ExLT is a young company that promotes work-life balance and work-parent responsibilities, and we feel Friday’s are a great day for travel or reconnecting with family (especially our young children!).

What certifications does ExlT Have?

ExLT is WBE/MBE certified! Projects that have WBE/MBE requirements are in luck - hiring ExLT helps fulfill those credits for tax and grant purposes.
